Mission

The Oxford Public School District’s Curriculum Council ensures consistent and reflective implementation of curriculum which guides student growth and development.

Philosophy

The Oxford Public School District’s Curriculum Council provides a sound, purposeful, and continuous process that informs an engaging and aligned curricula.

Expectations

In order for the Oxford Public School District students to achieve academic success, the Curriculum Council will provide information, recommendations, and guidance to ensure that all curriculum meets 21st century learning expectations and is comprehensive, rigorous, and achievable.

Goals & Objectives
GOALS:
1. Keep current with educational research and trends
2. Auditing of complete curricula, K-12 in each content area
3. Auditing of individual K-12 units of study
4. Create a process for continuous reflection, revision, and improvement of individual K-12 units of study
5. Establish a vertically and horizontally aligned scope and sequence
6. Provide direction for procurement of resources and support for staff

OBJECTIVES:
1. Schedule meetings as needed with the Vertical Articulation Teams and Curriculum Council

2. Audit all curriculum units for all content areas

3. Provide Professional Learning opportunities, support, and time for staff to gain familiarity on how to utilize and complete the Unit Organizer
